It has been quite some time since my last post here. In my extended absence I have moved to Chicago, IL, a dream of mine that has finally come to fruition 5 years later. Life doesn’t always work out the way you planned, and yet sometimes it does if you put your mind to it. And now I’m opening this great new chapter in my life story.
So what exactly am I doing here? Well, for starters I have a new job at Imagination Publishing as an Interactive Designer. It’s an amazing gig and I’m learning so much from those around me. I have a pretty huge desk too for all the awesome collectables I’ve acquired. Check it out!
But that’s not all I’ve been up to. Since moving to Chicago and starting a new job, I’ve been working on networking with the amazing and talented individuals in this awesome city. I was not disappointed! I have met a lot of wonderful people through involvement with the following:

Woo, just looking at that makes me a little tired, but it’s been a great road so far. You’ll see WordCamp is bolded above because I wanted to point out that I finally went to my first one! It was everything I dreamed it would be! There were great people and I learned so many new things. But I’ll save that for another post.
In the meantime, I just want to thank everyone who made my dream of moving to Chicago possible! It has been quite the roundabout journey but I’m here and absolutely loving it.
